Power Pay - Paying Down Debt

Posted on January 6th, 2008 by bjone6 in the Debt Management area of CircleDebt.com

This IS NOT a paid post. This is an actual site I have in my financial planning tool box. Power Pay is a site that is used to show people how to successfully pay down debt. This software was only available for puchase by financial planners. You could then pay a lot of money to find out how to stop spending a lot of money. A university bought out the liscence and now offers it for free.

You have to register with the site. Once you are registered, you can enter all your debt into the profile section. The program will calculate the most effective way of paying down your debt. You just enter the debt amount and the current APR, or interest rate of the card. The program will show how long it will take to pay off the debt, broken down in months. It will show the balances of your debt at each month.

You can enter adding extra money and see the power that has on paying down debt. Some people add random money into paying down debt; however, with out a plan, there is no focus and the extra payments, usually in form of rounding off the payment, will be lost.

Again, this is an actual site that I use.
